Tuition Assistance
The LYO accepts applications for need-based tuition assistance each year. To apply for an award, a parent or guardian should submit an online application by clicking the button below. All information submitted is confidential and subject to the LYO Privacy Policy.
This year’s tuition assistance application deadline is Wednesday, September 4.
Flexible payment plans are widely available to all LYO families (including those who do not apply for tuition assistance).
The LYO considers several factors such as annual income, family size, previous LYO participation, and special considerations noted on the form. In 2023, the LYO awarded over $30,000 total in tuition assistance. Every family who submitted the application prior to the deadline received assistance.
Tuition
Tuition is $575 for the entire academic year and includes the wide range of extraordinary experiences we provide for each student.
A $100 discount is applied to all LYO families with more than one student enrolled.
LYO students are required to participate in their school band or orchestra program if they are eligible to do so. Additionally, private lessons are required for students in many of our ensembles. LYO staff can assist you in finding a private lesson instructor.
