2022-23 Concerto Competition Winners

October 15, 2023

This season Reice Hudson and Chipper Fellows will perform a double concerto: the second movement from Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp. Reice and Chipper are co-principal flutists in the Symphony Orchestra and were chosen based on their extraordinary performance in the Concerto Competition on October 15. Chipper is also harpist in the Symphony Orchestra.

Each season members of the Symphony and Repertory orchestras may propose concertos to be played with their respective orchestras. Members contact their conductor to propose a piece and determine its viability. Pieces that are accepted may then be submitted for audition and compete with other submissions. Winning pieces are subsequently be performed at a Classical Concert later in the season.
